This is a response to Mr. Kessler’s review. First, he needs to state that he has a biased interest in his review, that he used to work with Walter at Hill & Associates before he went to work for Juniper. Second, I was the reviewer for the first edition of the book and Walter had a lot of misconceptions about SONET in the original draft. So much so that my name is menitioned in the acknoweldgements in the first edition. Since I worked as a manager dealing with SONET at both AT&T as well as Cisco Systems,the book leaves a lot to be desired.
